Finding a place to work on your scrapbooks Having a constant place to work IS a great way to get the job done but it isn't a necessity.. If you have a minute here or there, it is so much easier to do a small task, like sort your photos, pre-crop your photos, choose stickers and paper for a layout, etc. if you have your supplies readily accessible. As a busy work at home mom, I really use the "swiss-cheese method" for many of my household and business tasks. ( The swiss cheese method is where you take a big task and do small projects one by one - "putting holes in the cheese". Until you are done.) Many scrapbookers take over the dining room table. I have to admit that I have two large folding tables set in my (former) living room for scrapbooking and business. My supplies are always out so that I can work on a page for my album or for the website at a moment's notice. Scrapbooker Debbie Hewitt shares this great idea, it does require a small investment though. She purchased an "office" armoire, one that has a fold out table inside and space for a chair to be hidden inside the armoire when it is closed. Now she has her own private space in her bedroom for scrapbooking and can "park" her Cropper Hopper inside instead of a chair. Her scrapbooking supplies are stored in the Cropper Hopper and the armoire interior. Everything folds away when not in use. Office armoires are available new at offic supply stores and discount stores. As your supplies grow you may need to become more organized. If so there are many products on the market to help you organize you supplies, like the Cropper Hopper by Leeco. |
