get started? A local consultant can be a GREAT place for you to get started. There are two
things to consider when going to a local consultant:
A consultant's information is provided primarily by a company whose main
agenda is to sell products to you.
A consultants information is only as good as her upline. Many
well-meaning consultants spread scrapbooking urban legends instead of facts because they
have received the information from their upline consultant. On the other hand, there are
many consultants that have good information and creative ideas to pass on.
When you are looking for expert advise on archival matters the place to go
is to a book written to a professional photo preservationist, not a scrapbooking
consultant. I'm not knocking a local consultant, just being realistic. After all,
when you buy Tupperware you don't rely on your Tupperware consultant for nutritional
information, do you? A little knowledge about safety will help you make wise
purchases for your scrapbooks.
Scrapbooking consultants generally have a good selection of quality
products for scrapbooking and are a good creative resource. I got started
scrapbooking through Creative Memories and I still use their albums. You will find many
talented consultants who can help guide you through the process of scrapbooking. A local
scrapbooking consultant is a GREAT way to get started and get your scrapbooking supplies
